Your first premium payment will usually be deducted within 30-60 days from the date that your new policy is issued.

Deductions for payment of insurance premiums with Scotia Home & Auto Insurance are processed on the 5th of each month.

Deductions will continue every month on the 5th, up to but not including the month before the renewal date. This will allow all deductions to be made on the current policy and allow for one payment to be made on the subsequent renewal.

After the first year, there are usually 12 equal deduction amounts with the first payment due the 5th of the month before the renewal date.

It's important to contact us if your address will be changing - and not just to direct your snail mail! Did you know that moving - even within the same town or city - can have an impact on your vehicle insurance premium? Plus, vehicle insurance laws are different in every province.

If you are moving, you can contact us by email or phone. Please reference your policy number for quicker service and have ready your complete new address, including postal code.

If you’re already a Scotia Employee Home & Auto Insurance Program customer, your existing policy will continue as is until renewal.

When you receive your notification of renewal for your current policy(s), be sure to call 1.833.235.2136 to ensure you continue to receive preferred employee rates under the Scotia Employee Home & Auto Insurance Program.

If you’ve purchased a policy under the Scotia Employee Home & Auto Insurance Program, on or after 22 November 2018, please call us at 1.833.235.2136.

If you have not yet renewed or purchased your policy prior to November 21, 2019, please call your current insurer at 1.888.277.6481.
